Christina A. Godwin, M.D.

Dr. Godwin grew up in rural Kansas and was the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s degree. She attended The University of Kansas where she graduated with highest distinction in sports science with a minor in chemistry. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and worked as a chemist prior to becoming a medical research assistant while her husband attended law school at UCLA. While in the workforce for a few years after college, she confirmed her desire to pursue a medical career. She then attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania where she developed her interest in urologic surgery. Dr. Godwin completed her Urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While in residency, Dr. Godwin realized that she had a special interest in female urology and voiding dysfunction and therefore sought further study in that field by completing a fellowship with Minnesota Urology.

Dr. Godwin joined Minnesota Urology in 2018. She practices general urology with specialization in female urology, pelvic reconstruction, voiding dysfunction, and incontinence in both men and women.
