Biography
Dr. Danly Omil-Lima is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist specializing in the comprehensive management of genitourinary cancers, including kidney, prostate, bladder, testicular, and adrenal tumors. His clinical expertise spans both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with particular emphasis on robotic and laparoscopic approaches whenever feasible to facilitate patient recovery.
Dr. Omil-Lima earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University before completing residency training in Urology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He then pursued a two-year fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, recognized as one of the nation’s foremost centers for cancer care and research.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Omil-Lima obtained a master’s degree in data science, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve cancer staging, predict patient outcomes, and guide treatment decision-making. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, presented his work at national conferences in urologic oncology, and is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions.

Treatment Focus
Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Traditional Open Surgery
- Prostate Cancer: Screening and work up of elevated PSA (transperineal and transrectal prostate biopsy), active surveillance, robotic approach and nerve-sparing prostatectomy, focal therapy.
- Bladder Cancer: Open and robotic approaches, urinary diversion including ileal conduit, orthotopic neobladder and continent cutaneous (e.g. Indiana pouch) reconstruction
- Kidney Cancer: Kidney-sparing approaches (i.e. partial nephrectomy), robotic, laparoscopic, open kidney surgery.
- Adrenal masses: Minimally invasive adrenal surgery and expertise in treatment of adrenal incidentalomas.
- Penile Cancer: Minimally invasive lymph node dissection, sentinel lymph node biopsy.
