Biography
Dr. Hanson completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Iowa where he also served as the commencement speaker for his graduating medical class. His post-graduate training is highlighted by his residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Hanson has had specialty training in both laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgery and serves on the Minnesota Urology da VinciĀ® surgical team for robotic assisted prostatectomies and treatment of prostate cancer. Due to his excellence in the field of urologic oncology Dr. Hanson was elected to the Society of Urologic Oncology in 2009.
Dr. Hanson is known for his innovative clinical interests as well as for his compassionate care that patients adore.
