Biography
Dr. Peterson is a board certified Pathologist specializing in urologic pathology. Dr. Peterson is a lifelong Minnesotan and was raised south of the Twin Cities. He attended Creighton University and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree. He attended medical school and obtained his specialty training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Peterson’s areas of interest include the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer, and the molecular genetic basis of prostate cancer prognosis. He is the former medical director of the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as the former laboratory medical director at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Peterson has also performed medical director duties at several rural hospitals in the state of Minnesota on an outreach basis.
