Dr. Regelman completed his double major in Biochemistry and Economics at the University of California, Davis in 2004. In 2005 he obtained his post-baccalaureate degree from the University of California, San Diego through taking advanced classes in genetics, biology of cancer, and pharmacology. It was during this time that he became interested in education and began teaching. He spent the following year teaching high school students and mentoring inner city youth from underserved neighborhoods.
He obtained the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2010. During this time, Dr. Regelman continued his community service by volunteering at the student run free clinics. Following graduation, Dr. Regelman embarked on his surgical training with the Division of Urology, Pennsylvania State Hershey Medical Center. He was involved in multiple research projects focusing on the treatment of urologic cancers, as well as improving patient safety outcomes. His research findings were presented at numerous regional and national American Urology Association conferences. During his last year of residency, Dr. Regelman served as the Chief Resident and was recognized by the department of Surgery for his commitment to patient care. Upon graduation, Dr. Regelman was presented with the Humanism and Professionalism award.
After completing his Urology residency, Dr. Regelman continued his career advancement by pursing a fellowship in Urologic Oncology, with the focus on minimally invasive treatment of kidney, prostate, bladder and testicular malignancies. During this time, he performed close to 300 robotic surgeries utilizing the Da Vinci Surgical System.
Dr. Regelman joined Minnesota Urology in 2016. His professional goals are to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and cutting edge care to his patients. As a former educator, he strives to make sure that patients understand their urologic conditions and the treatment options available to them. His main clinical interests are medical and surgical treatments of benign and malignant diseases affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate, penis and testicles. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic procedures. Dr. Regelman has also taken an interest in the treatment of Men’s health issues.
